KUNC is literally in the middle of the High Park wildfire west of Fort Collins, Colorado: The transmitter for 91.5FM on Buckhorn Mountain is threatened by fire and off the air. But KUNC News is covering the story, streaming live, and getting record web traffic right now.
The High Park Fire was reported on Saturday, June 9th at 5:54am. The fire has since grown dramatically to an estimated 20,000+ acres and continues to burn west of Fort Collins.
