STATION SPOTLIGHT

Alaska station uncovers truth about deceptive fundraising

Local business owners in Juneau, Alaska, were recently asked to donate prizes for a six-night event called "Juneau Fest 2012," which is taking place this week. What the business owners didn't know was that the event was part of a religious revival meeting. In several in-depth reports on the radio and on the web, member station KTOO broke the story, revealing the true intentions of the event and the misleading practices used to promote it.
